the working rules behind every request this office takes

Reserve through us, and here is what you are agreeing to

This office arranges trips and never operates them, which changes almost everything about what you can hold us to. Read the sections below before you send a request, because sending one means you accept them.

1. Who is behind this site

This site belongs to Willow Mile Press Bookings LLC, a limited liability company formed under the laws of the State of Missouri, the Missouri Secretary of State. Correspondence goes to 230 S. Bemiston Ave, Suite 914, Clayton, MO 63105, or to desk@willowmilepress.com. The name printed across the top of every page, Willow Mile Press, is the name this company answers to in ordinary business. Telephone: +1 (314) 862-4517.

2. Arranging is not operating

Everything sold through this desk is carried out by somebody else. A hotel keeps the room, a rail company runs the train, a small local firm walks you across a ridge. This office finds those companies, checks that they can take you on the dates you named, holds the space and hands you a written figure. Then it steps out of the way. We hold no fleet, no rooms and no berths of our own, and we are neither a tour operator nor an online booking site, and we are not owned by, agents for, or in partnership with any company that is.

3. What you are agreeing to, and when

You accept these rules the moment you send a request through the form, write to desk@willowmilepress.com, or speak to somebody here about dates. If a clause below is unacceptable to you, do not send the request. Nothing on the site is an offer capable of acceptance: a request is you asking, and a written figure from this office is the first thing that can turn into a reservation.

4. No money moves through this office

We take no payment of any kind. There is no checkout on this site, no cart, no deposit link, no card field on any page, and no page here will ever ask you for a card number, a bank detail, a Social Security number or a photograph of a document. When the reservation is placed, the operating company bills you directly, on its own paperwork, under its own payment schedule. Money goes from you to the company that carries you, and never through us. Anyone contacting you in our name and asking for a card is not us, and corrections@willowmilepress.com wants to hear about it the same day.

5. How this office is paid

The company that runs your trip pays us a commission, and it does so after you have travelled and come home. Nothing is added to your bill because you came through this desk, and nothing is taken off it either. You should still know the arrangement exists, because it means we earn only when a booking is completed by somebody else. It also means we have no reason to keep you talking to a supplier who cannot serve your dates.

6. Prices are starting figures until they are not

Every dollar amount printed in the catalogue is a starting point for one person sharing a room, in the least expensive month we would send anyone. Figures on this site run from $1,500 to $5,070. What you actually pay depends on your dates, the number of people, the room, the class of rail or road transport, and what the operating company happens to be charging that week. The written figure we send you against your particular dates is the one that means something, and even that stands only as long as the operator holds it. Nothing on a catalogue page is a quotation, an estimate of your trip, or a promise about your total.

7. The operating company's terms govern the trip

Once you accept a written figure and the reservation is made, your contract for the trip itself is with the operator, not with us. Their cancellation windows, their change fees, their baggage rules, their rules about children and about age limits, their conduct policy and their liability limits apply to you. We will send you those terms in full before anything is confirmed, and we will read them with you if you ask, but we cannot vary them, waive them or override them. Our own conduct at the request stage is described at what happens if you have to pull out.

8. This site assesses nothing

There is no scoring here. This office issues no opinions, awards no stars, keeps no order of merit and grades nothing and nobody. No company named or unnamed on this site has been measured against another. The catalogue is arranged by twenty-five things people commonly ask us for and we do not arrange, which is an unusual shape for a travel site and is easily misread, so it is worth being exact about what it means.

9. What a refusal on this site means

A refusal here is a statement about capacity, timing, crowding, transport and the practical limits of this small office. It is never a statement about quality, and never a judgment about anyone who wants the thing. Santorini in July is beautiful and it is also carrying four cruise calls a day into a caldera town with one road; the Amalfi Coast is one of the finest places on earth and its coast road in August moves at walking pace. Those are facts about places and dates, not verdicts on the places and certainly not on you. Other people arrange these trips well, and if that is what you want, you should go to them and go with our good wishes. Where we have something adjacent to offer we say so, and the pairings are set out at what this desk reserves for each request.

10. What we will not advise on

This office does not sell, arrange, recommend or comment on travel insurance, visas, passports, entry permits, border requirements, vaccination rules, prescriptions, fitness to travel, or any legal question arising from your trip. We are not licensed to and we will not guess. When you need an answer of that kind, go to the government of the country concerned, to a licensed insurance broker, to your own doctor or to your own attorney. If you ask us one of these questions we will say plainly that we cannot answer it, which is a poor answer but an honest one.

11. Accuracy, and how to tell us we are wrong

The descriptive text on this site is written by people here from first hand knowledge and from what operators tell us, and it goes stale. Roads close. A rail line reschedules. A small operator stops running a route. We correct what we find and what you point out, and we do not pretend the pages are perfect in the meantime. If something here is wrong, write to corrections@willowmilepress.com with the page address and what you saw, and you will get an answer telling you what we changed or why we think the page stands. Nothing on this site is a warranty about conditions on the ground.

12. Availability of the site and the desk

Requests are read in the order they arrive and answered within one business day. Outages happen and we do not promise the pages will always load. If the site is down and your dates are moving, write to desk@willowmilepress.com and the request still counts from the moment it arrives.

13. What we are liable for

We are liable for our own work: for placing the reservation you agreed to, on the dates you agreed to, with the company we told you about, and for passing on your requirements accurately. We are not liable for the acts, omissions, insolvency, delays, cancellations, equipment, staff or safety practices of any operating company, nor for weather, strikes, road closures, civil disturbance, illness, or anything else outside our control. To the fullest extent the law of Missouri permits, our liability arising from any request or reservation is limited to the commission we received or would have received on it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses of any kind. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence.

14. No shipping, no delivery, no returns

Nothing physical is sold here, so nothing is shipped, dispatched, tracked or delivered, and there is no returns process, no refund process and no exchange counter at this office. That is a direct consequence of section 4: we hold none of your money, so there is nothing here for us to send back. Money you have paid to an operating company is refunded, or not refunded, under that company's own cancellation terms, and it comes back from them to you by the route it left. If you want us to argue your case with them we will, in writing, at no charge, but the decision is theirs. Documents such as confirmations and tickets reach you electronically from the operator or from this desk, and there is no mailing, courier or postage arrangement of any kind.

15. Using this site

You may read these pages, print them for yourself and send requests through them. You may not copy the catalogue text wholesale onto another site, scrape it, resell it, or use the name Willow Mile Press to suggest that another business is connected to this one. The wording, the photographs and the arrangement of the pages belong to Willow Mile Press Bookings LLC. Send a request only for a trip you genuinely intend to take, with details that are true: false requests take time from people who are actually going somewhere.

16. Governing law

These terms and anything contested under them fall to be decided by the law of the State of Missouri, and its choice of law rules are not to be applied, and the state and federal courts sitting in St Louis have jurisdiction. If any section is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.

17. Changes to these rules

We rewrite this page when the way we work changes, and the version standing here is the one that applies to a request from the day it is posted. We keep no history of earlier wording on the site and we send no notices about it, so if the rules matter to your decision, read them again before you send a request. Requests already accepted are handled under the rules that stood when they came in.

18. Where to reach a person

Requests and dates: desk@willowmilepress.com. Corrections and complaints: corrections@willowmilepress.com. Telephone +1 (314) 862-4517 for anything that is easier said out loud. Written post reaches us at 230 S. Bemiston Ave, Suite 914, Clayton, MO 63105. within one business day

This office keeps no counter hours and publishes none, because a printed opening time would be a promise about a person rather than about the work. What is promised instead is a deadline: every request that reaches the form is read in the order it arrived and answered within one business day, and if the answer needs longer than that you will get a note saying so and what it is waiting on.

If you have read this far and something still looks unclear, the shorter answers are at the questions people actually ask, the order in which a request moves through this office is set out at how a reservation is placed here, and you can start one at how to ask for a price.
